The Firefly™ is a solar-powered disc golf target light, used when playing disc golf at night. Our circuit design makes the Firefly up to 100 times more efficient than existing steady solar lights, as well as making it much more visible. We have both yellow and red lights available, and each is offered in two blink rates. The slower rate is optimized for use in shady locations. The picture to the right shows hole 18 (in daylight) at the Pyramids course in Leicester, MA, http://www.pyramidsdiscgolf.com/, which was the first course to have the Firefly™ installed. The Firefly™ is installed on the top of the target, and protected with a wire dome.

Between rounds at the recent tournament, a group of 10 played a night round, using the Fly-by-Nite discs. This picture is a still taken from the video taken at this round. The bright light is the Firefly™, a Fly-by-Nite disc can be seen in the basket, and another disc, about to be thrown, is just visible in the background. This was taken with an IR video camera.
